- Do you use real narcotics and Explosives to train the K9s?
YES we do. We use military grade Explosives and real Narcotics.
- How can a K-9 smell all the different odors or can he be fooled?
When one first goes into the kitchen and someone is cooking chili, they can smell the chili. When the canine goes into the kitchen though, it can smell the hamburger, the beans, the tomatoes, the seasonings, etc. The dog can break the chili into individual layers. This is why narcotics dogs are not fooled by coffee grounds or other destractors. As long as the odor is present the dog smells it.
- Will local police come out and search my home or place of business?
No the police K-9 unit will not come out. The K-9 unit is way to busy to deal with private searches of drugs and explosives. Unless there is an immediate bomb threat and you can provide proof of that threat, they are not coming out. Many people believe that the K9 unit will, this is wrong, just call your local police K9 unit and ask.
- Why do the dogs cost so much?
Most all k9s are imported and that means that our prices are based off foreign currency along with the valuable time we spend with each K9.
